Summary

Join SmarterDx as an Events Marketing Leader to design and execute impactful events that build relationships, drive pipeline, and elevate our brand. You will lead all aspects of event execution, from planning and managing SmarterDx's presence at industry conferences to organizing bespoke field events. Develop memorable brand experiences that differentiate SmarterDx and communicate our value propositions to key targets. Set event objectives aligned with marketing and sales goals and measure performance using relevant KPIs. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful event execution. This fully remote role within the US requires 7+ years of B2B event marketing experience, preferably in healthcare or health tech. You will report to the Head of Marketing and play a central role in growing SmarterDx's presence in the acute hospital and health system market.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B event marketing, preferably within healthcare, health tech, or enterprise SaaS
  • Proven success in planning and executing a range of event formats, including national tradeshows, in partnership with exhibit and events agencies
  • Creative thinking and strong brand sensibility to make our event presence stand out in a crowded market
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup environment with evolving priorities

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of event execution : Plan, manage, and execute SmarterDx’s presence at industry conferences, trade shows, and partner or client events—from booth design to vendor management to logistics
  • Design memorable brand experiences : Develop event concepts and experiences that differentiate SmarterDx and communicate our value propositions to key targets
  • Drive strategy and results : Set event objectives aligned with marketing and sales goals (e.g., lead generation, customer engagement), and measure performance using KPIs like pipeline created and influenced, foot traffic, and content engagement
  • Enable executive thought leadership : Collaborate with our co-founders, other internal SMEs, and content marketers to submit compelling speaker submissions and support on-stage appearances at top conferences, as well as client events (e.g., client executive council gatherings)
  • Orchestrate field events : Plan and execute intimate field marketing events such as association chapter events, executive dinners, and roundtables that deepen relationships with prospects and customers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally : Work closely with sales, product, design, and demand generation to ensure integrated campaigns and aligned messaging
  • Manage budget and logistics : Own the events calendar, negotiate vendor contracts, manage timelines, and track ROI for every event in collaboration with our marketing ops manager
  • Innovate and improve : Continuously iterate on event strategies, testing new formats and approaches to improve engagement and outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with marketing tech stack detailed below
  • Previous experience with large clinical and/or technology tradeshows like ACDIS, AHIMA, HIMSS, ViVE
