Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in creative leadership, with a diversified track record of success at global brands, agencies, and high-growth tech companies
- Proven ability to lead and scale high-performing creative teams, overseeing multiple disciplines including design, content, brand, and campaign execution
- Deep expertise in brand marketing and advertising, from high-profile campaigns (TV, digital, experiential) to disruptive cultural moments and scrappy, no-budget initiatives
- Strong executive presence, with experience presenting creative vision and securing buy-in for bold and disruptive ideas at the C-suite level
- Exceptional storytelling skills and a strategic mindset, with the ability to translate business objectives into compelling creative
- Crypto-native: You understand the ethos, language, and culture of crypto. You know how to speak authentically to the community while making the space accessible to newcomers
- Track record of global campaign success, with portfolio highlights including award-winning creative, viral brand moments, digital transformation projects, or category-defining product launches
- Data-driven mindset, with experience leveraging insights to refine creative strategy and improve performance
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire Krakenβs creative leads to develop bold, high-impact creative that elevates our brand and drives business objectives
- Set and execute the global creative vision for Kraken, ensuring all marketing, advertising, and brand initiatives reinforce our position as a category leader
- Drive world-class advertising and campaigns across TV, digital, social, partnerships, and experiential activations, leveraging data-driven insights and cultural trends
- Own the brand and creative strategy, shaping Krakenβs identity and voice across all channels to ensure consistency and differentiation
- Champion crypto culture and develop reactive marketing and activations that engage both native crypto audiences and those new to the space
- Balance leadership and execution, seamlessly switching between guiding teams and executing high-level creative work as an individual contributor
- Oversee creative agency relationships, setting the vision, evaluating proposals, and ensuring high-quality execution
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the creative org, hiring and mentoring top-tier talent
- Leverage AI to scale creative ideation and execution efficiently
- Develop a framework for measuring creative performance, applying qualitative and quantitative insights to drive continuous improvement
- Serve as a key creative advisor to Krakenβs executive leadership team, providing guidance on brand-building strategies and creative opportunities
