Summary

Join SwipeSense, a healthcare technology company, as a Field Service Installation Technician! You will be the face of SwipeSense installations, ensuring timely and high-quality completion with minimal disruption to customer workflows. This role requires close collaboration with customer teams, strong network connectivity knowledge, and proficiency with hand tools. You will be responsible for on-site assessments, risk mitigation, and troubleshooting. Success in this position demands attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to manage your time effectively. This is a full-time, non-exempt, remote position offering competitive compensation and excellent medical and dental benefits.

Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred with a minimum of 2-4 yearsโ€™ experience in a related field
  • Professional etiquette with experience interacting directly with customers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intermediate network connectivity knowledge
  • Skill in operating and maintaining handheld power tools
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to independently manage personal time and deadlines
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to spend days working on feet
  • Valid driverโ€™s license
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to pass hospital credentialing process (receiving up-to-date immunizations)

Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor field activity during on-site work orders; ensure timely and high-quality work order completion
  • Maintain adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact between internal teams and the customer; act as the technical advisor on-site regarding networking, testing, and troubleshooting the system
  • Independently and thoroughly complete site assessment surveys during installation planning to optimize system locations and functions for platform implementation
  • Identify installation risks/challenges ahead of an installation; collaborate with internal teams to engineer solutions and mitigate risks
  • Mitigate issues during a work order, determine the best course of action with your supervisor; consider business priorities, customer relationships, and consequences
  • Recommend process changes to improve field performance
  • Install and connect all devices as defined by the facility assessment
  • Ensure all devices are configured correctly and online before leaving the customer location

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare settings interacting with frontline hospital staff
