Summary

Join our team as a Financial Controlling Lead and oversee all financial controlling activities, ensuring the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. Lead a team responsible for budgeting, variance analysis, and managing accounts payable, receivable, loans, and employee cash advances. Implement robust financial controls, support automation, and provide actionable insights. This role requires strong analytical and leadership skills, along with experience in financial controlling and team management. The position is based in Limassol, Cyprus, or remote.

Requirements

  • Obtain a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Have minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial controlling, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Possess proven experience with budgeting, variance analysis, and cash flow management
  • Demonstrate familiarity with managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and loan portfolios
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Show proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills
  • Exhibit excellent leadership and communication abilities
  • Have Intermediate English language skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation of budgets for all projects within the group, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Collaborate with department heads and project managers to gather inputs for budgeting
  • Establish processes for budget approval, tracking, and updates
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with budgets and forecasts
  • Investigate and explain discrepancies, providing actionable recommendations to management
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports for senior management
  • Monitor and control the accounts payable (AP) process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of obligations
  • Oversee the accounts receivable (AR) process, ensuring proper invoicing, timely collections, and adherence to credit policies
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for AP and AR to improve efficiency and minimize risks
  • Manage and monitor the group’s loans receivable and loans payable portfolio
  • Ensure timely servicing of loans payable (interest and principal payments)
  • Track repayment schedules for loans receivable and follow up on overdue payments
  • Support decision-making for new loans, refinancing, or restructuring
  • Oversee the process for issuing and controlling cash advances to employees
  • Ensure proper documentation, timely reconciliation, and recovery of advances
  • Implement controls to prevent misuse or delays in reconciliation
  • Develop and maintain internal financial control systems to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Conduct regular reviews of financial processes to identify risks and implement improvements
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the financial controlling team to ensure high performance and professional growth
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet organizational and project needs
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Obtain ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Possess additional language skills (e.g., Russian, Ukrainian)
