Summary
Join MyFitnessPal as a Food Data Curator and contribute to our mission of improving health through better food choices. You will be responsible for verifying and categorizing food data, supporting marketing efforts, and improving data curation processes. This contract position, lasting until the end of 2025 with potential extension, requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and Registered Dietitian certification. Experience with nutrition analysis software and recipe creation is essential. Excellent communication skills and a strong interest in health and fitness are also necessary. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree or higher in Nutrition, Food Science, or related field
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) required
- At least 1 year of experience working with nutrition analysis software and expertise in navigating verified food data systems like FoodData Central
- Understanding of food preparation/cooking in addition to experience with recipe creation and nutrition analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide constructive feedback, problem solve, and improve systems and processes
- Access to reliable internet and a comfortable place to work in a remote environment
- High attention to detail
- Strong interest in helping millions of people achieve their health and fitness goals
Responsibilities
- Verify food data for accuracy and completeness
- Categorize and tag foods within our food taxonomy system
- Support ongoing management of food data in our database
- Serve as an expert reviewer for our editorial content
- Assist with product and marketing content development, including but not limited to supporting social media content development, recipe creation and nutrition analysis
- Improve the process of food curation by providing feedback
