Functional Tester

Summary

Join T-Rex Solutions as a Functional Tester supporting the IRS eCM program. You will plan, construct, and execute test scripts, applying business and functional knowledge to meet testing objectives. Ensure testing results are accessible and defects are tracked. A Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3+ years of experience (or 7+ years of experience in lieu of a degree) is required, along with US citizenship/legal residency, active IRS MBI clearance, and strong communication skills. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or university required with three (3) or more years of related experience
• An additional four (4) years of related experience may substitute for degree
• US citizenship or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3+ years, and be Federal Tax compliant required
• Active IRS MBI Clearance
• Testing Process and Quality Improvement
• Agile Testing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels
• Excellent time management
• Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals
• Experience with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in the planning, constructing and execution of test scripts
• Apply business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the team's overall test objectives
• Ensure all testing results are easily accessible and understandable
• Track defects to closure and keep defect repository up-to-date
