Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the asset management industry
  • Minimum of 2 years experience leading teams and managing team members
  • Experience with multi-tiered master-feeder fund structures and investor reporting
  • Experience in public accounting or fund administration accounting
  • Experience in the consolidation
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel is a must

Responsibilities

  • Handle multiple clients (being hands-on), including new and existing clients
  • Manage investor relations, treasury, and financial reporting and provide guidance for clients and staff. Staff is located onshore and offshore
  • Day-to-day hands-on oversight of fund operations, fund reporting, investor reporting, and regulatory reporting, serving as 1st and, at times, 2nd level review for all fund deliverables and managing the quality, outcomes, and escalations of the fund accounting team
  • Reviews capital calls, distributions, liquidity forecasting, and valuation activity for investments
  • Reviews NAVs, cash, positions, waterfall calculations, and fund performance metrics
  • Works with the director to manage the client relationship and the fund accounting team in delivering daily, monthly, or quarterly deliverables as agreed upon with the client
  • Contributes to the implementation of fund operations, reconciliations, and reporting in compliance with fund LPA, GAAP (including GAAP disclosures in financial statements), and SEC standards
  • Contributes to the setup of new funds, entities, and onboarding of clients as needed
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects across the client engagement and broader department/organization
  • Act as ultimate lead in audit processes
  • Assist with tax support
  • Provides clear direction, supervision, and daily support to the Armanino client service team in the planning and completion of client requirements and delivering quality services on time in an efficient manner. Has a “roll sleeves up” mentality to ensure our clients’ needs and deliverables are met
  • Proactively identifies areas of risks and areas of improvement either in client engagement or through internal department-wide processes and work papers. Works with the broader FA team on implementing process improvements
  • Contributes to fostering a culture of growth and learning, providing adequate knowledge and training shared across the accounting team
  • Maintains the high standards of Armanino and works across departments within Armanino to ensure the client experiences a “white glove” level of service

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA is desirable but not required
  • Proficient in technology such as experience in Investran, Sage Intacct, Netsuite, QuickBooks, and Allvue
