Summary
Join UpGuard's rapidly expanding team as a Sales Trainer! You will play a crucial role in enhancing the commercial capabilities of our field teams by designing and delivering impactful training initiatives. Leverage data analysis and collaboration with revenue leaders to identify skill gaps and create engaging training programs. You will facilitate live training sessions, provide coaching, and support product launches. Requirements
- Have experience selling software, ideally across the full sales cycle including renewal/expansion sales
- Be an exceptional communicator, both written and spoken
- Demonstrate success with complex commercial and legal negotiations, working with procurement, legal, and business teams
- Have flexibility in schedule, particularly for the delivery of live training sessions (due to global role)
- Demonstrate capability to build and deliver programs that positively impact business objectives
Responsibilities
- Conduct Learning Needs Analysis: Leverage internal data and performance trends along with consultation with Revenue leaders to assess the team performance and skill gaps
- Design Training: Use both established and innovative approaches to the design of training initiatives, with a considered understanding of the varying needs of different roles
- Facilitate Live Training: Skillfully employ a blend of interactive, practical, and insightful training methods to ensure learners remain engaged, acquire knowledge effectively, and feel confident in applying their new skills
- Provide Coaching: Provide targeted and ongoing coaching to frontline managers and individual field team members, as needed
- Collaborate: Work with Revenue Enablement Managers and other business leaders to deliver training components of enablement initiatives and contribute to events such as Kick-Offβs
- Support Product Launches: Contribute to the enablement efforts of product launches and major feature releases, ensuring the field can effectively pitch, demo and discuss new platform capabilities
- Drive Change: Function as a change agent, driving behavioural changes in the field to adhere to new process updates, changes in our sales motion and other business improvements
- Report on Training Outcomes: Effectively report on the outcomes of training initiatives ensuring the adoption of the correct behaviours and skills, and ultimately positive revenue outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Have a background in performance coaching, team leadership or corporate training
- Have a history working within a company with demonstrated sales excellence
- Have industry experience within cybersecurity or other technical domains
- Have experience with tools such as Gong, Mindtickle, Hubspot, Outreach, ChurnZero, Looker or their alternatives
