Summary
Join Bird, a company revolutionizing environmentally friendly transportation, as a Government Partnership Manager. This role focuses on maintaining and expanding Bird's presence in North American cities, managing a portfolio generating approximately $22 million in projected revenue. You will be responsible for retaining existing city partnerships and securing new ones, working closely with city officials and internal teams. Requirements
- 5+ years progressive experience in Government Relations, Policy, Sales, Account Management, or relevant industry experience
- Proven ability to build and/or strengthen relationships with city officials of key cities
- Proven ability to train others to build and/or strengthen relationships with city officials of key cities
- Strategic ability to build processes that do not rely on third parties to build relationships with key city stakeholders, allowing Bird to internalize relationship-building and management
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that Bird fulfills all obligations required by the cities and ensure that the company remains responsive to local concerns as they emerge
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for scooter slot retention in North America responsible for ~22MM projected revenue
- Retain and win slots next year, allowing Bird to deploy 1,250 net slots in the US and Canada
- Work at a high level with our key city and university partners
- Create high impact strategy designed to improve ridership, strengthen relationships with key partners, and maximize net revenue
- Work with our Pursuits team on RFP proposals and submissions to both address the unique needs of each of our partners and improve our city commitments
- Guide regulatory change to improve overall quality of service delivery and rider experience
- Speak at public gatherings or government meetings to champion Bird and alternative transportation
- Grow our business into new markets through outreach and sales into city governments
- Engage in onsite demonstrations and presentations of our technology and services
