Join our client, a fast-growing platform supporting small businesses, as a Performance Creative Strategist. This 3-6 month remote contract position (with potential for extension) involves developing and implementing performance content strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and optimizing creative assets for various platforms. You will define messaging frameworks, creative testing methodologies, and monitor performance across channels like Meta. The ideal candidate possesses 7+ years of experience in performance marketing, expertise in B2B growth marketing, and strong analytical skills. This role requires a strategic, proactive individual with excellent communication and collaboration skills. The hourly rate is $70-85/hr, with 15-30 hours per week depending on the project phase.
Requirements
- 7β10+ years of experience in performance marketing strategy with a strong creative lens
- Proven expertise in B2B growth marketing, especially subscription and conversion-driven campaigns
- Deep experience with Meta ads and mobile-first content optimization
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret performance data and translate it into creative insights
- Familiarity with briefing and collaborating across cross-functional teams including creative, growth, brand, and analytics
- Strategic, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity
- Strong communicator and collaborator, able to influence without direct authority
- Curious, iterative, and always looking to improve outcomes through testing and insight
- Creative-minded with a performance-first mentality
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Homebase Growth Marketing Lead, Brand Lead and Creative Director to set strategic direction for performance content
- Define messaging frameworks and media models that balance brand voice with business outcomes
- Help define creative testing methodologies and develop a rhythm of learning that informs ongoing creative decisions
- Develop strategic themes, concepts, and messaging that balance brand voice with performance outcomes
- Translate strategic direction into clear, actionable creative briefs for internal and external teams
- Coordinate closely with creative, growth, brand, and analytics stakeholders to ensure alignment across teams
- Leverage Homebaseβs existing content library while identifying opportunities for new asset creation
- Monitor creative performance across Meta and other paid channels with a focus on conversion and subscription KPIs
- Identify trends and outliers, drawing actionable insights from ongoing test-and-learn cycles
- Recommend optimizations to creative execution, audience targeting, and messaging
- Support the development of 4β6 high-impact, mobile-first creative assets per month, including: 15β30 second video ads
- Static and carousel image variants
- Ensure assets are designed with platform-specific best practices and conversion goals in mind
- Serve as a cross-functional advisor to help Homebase teams understand how to balance brand equity with performance imperatives
- Bring a strong POV on where to push creatively, strategically, and tactically
- Guide the evolution of a reliable, fast-moving creative testing system
