Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing or related roles in the consumer product or media industry
  • Proven track record of developing go-to-market strategies across products, particularly in a direct-to-consumer or ecommerce environment
  • Highly analytical with a data-driven mindset, and a strong focus on developing customer insights that lead to business results (experience with business intelligence tools and/or SQL a plus)
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including product, data science, marketing, engineering, and business teams
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills with the ability to engage senior leadership and external partners
  • Proven ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring timely delivery of key initiatives and outcomes
  • Passionate about technology and committed to delivering world-class experiences for customers

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with Philo’s business goals across our free, core subscription, and premium upgrade businesses
  • Oversee go-to-market strategy for our programmatic advertising business (B2B)
  • Steward efforts to define durable customer segments by leveraging deep customer insights to inform product development and engagement strategies
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing, and data teams to refine product positioning, value propositions, features, and messaging tailored to different customer segments
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives with an emphasis on improving overall lifetime value (LTV)
  • Ensure successful product launches, orchestrating go-to-market execution for new features and enhancements
  • Establish and monitor key metrics for initiatives with core focus on continuous optimization
  • Inform potential strategic partnerships and own relevant marketing execution
  • Manage a small product marketing team, providing direction on messaging, targeting, and tactics informed by customer data trends
