Summary

Join SmartLogic, a custom software consultancy, as our part-time Head of Marketing. Lead and execute our marketing strategy, focusing on generating qualified leads from mid-sized nonprofits and Series A/B startups. You will report to the CEO and be responsible for key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales-accepted leads and marketing-sourced opportunities. This remote position requires bimonthly/quarterly in-person meetings in DC or Baltimore. Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in B2B marketing within professional services or technology consulting, a strong understanding of nonprofit and startup sectors, and proficiency with various marketing platforms.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, specifically within professional services or technology consulting
  • Demonstrated success in positioning, messaging, and campaign execution for custom software development firms or similar businesses
  • Deep familiarity with audiences in the nonprofit and startup sectors
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills, with an eye for storytelling and brand development
  • Proficiency with relevant platforms and tools (e.g., HubSpot, GA4, Webflow, Ghost, LinkedIn)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Highly self-directed, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently
  • Sales accepted leads generated per month
  • Marketing-sourced pipeline and opportunities created
  • Performance of campaigns across key digital channels
  • Brand visibility and engagement within our target markets

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead SmartLogicโ€™s marketing strategy and execution
  • Plan and run lead generation campaigns aimed at our core ICPs
  • Maintain and evolve our digital presence (website, social, email, content)
  • Oversee the development of marketing and sales enablement collateral (e.g., decks, one-pagers, case studies)
  • Hire and manage external collaborators and contractors as needed
  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, voice, and positioning across all channels
