Summary
Join Raptor Maps, a fast-growing climate tech startup, as their Head of People! Lead the People function, shaping its strategic direction from organizational design and leadership development to culture building and business alignment. Partner with leadership and People Operations teams on organizational planning, team health, and scaling. Own key people analytics and reporting, championing company values and culture. Develop performance and development frameworks, provide coaching to senior leaders, and refine compensation and benefits programs. Collaborate with Talent teams to strengthen recruiting and retention efforts. This role requires a people-centric, business-savvy approach, high EQ, visionary thinking, and startup savvy. The ideal candidate will be located primarily in Boston.

- Exposure to remote-first or distributed teams
- SHRM or HRCI certification
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Complete ownership and accountability over their role and success in the team

Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Partnership. Own and lead the People strategy to support business goals, while partnering with People Operations and leadership teams on org planning, team health, and scaling effectively
- People Metrics & Reporting. Own key people analytics, including engagement surveys, organizational health metrics, and reporting to senior leaders and the Board, using data to inform strategy and track progress over time
- Culture, Values & Employee Experience. Champion our values and culture by designing programs that foster belonging, trust, and recognition, while leading engagement initiatives like feedback, DEIB, and key employee experience moments in a remote-friendly environment in partnership with People Operations team
- Talent Development. Own performance and development frameworks that empower every Raptor to grow, and lead impactful Learning & Development initiatives across the company
- Leadership Growth. Provide expert coaching to senior leaders and managers to enhance leadership capabilities, drive change management efforts to support organizational growth, and advise managers on team health, development, and effectiveness
- People Insights. Stay attuned to team sentiment, market trends, and evolving best practices to inform strategy and keep Raptor Maps ahead of the curve
- Total Rewards Strategy. Lead and refine our compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs to ensure they are fair, competitive, and support the needs of a growing, remote-friendly team
- Recruiting & Retention. Partner with the leadership and Talent teams to strengthen recruiting and hiring efforts, and implement strategies that support the retention of top talent aligned with our values and mission
Preferred Qualifications
Ideally primarily located in Boston and be in office at Greentown Labs 3x per week
