Join us in shaping the future of work as the Head of People Experience at Ten Lifestyle Group, based in Cape Town. Lead a global team in creating exceptional employee experiences to attract, inspire, and retain top talent. Develop and implement a people experience strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring compliance and fostering a high-performance culture. Guide employee relations, manage rewards and payroll, and champion performance management. Use data-driven insights to improve operations and ensure offices reflect company culture. Drive initiatives to enhance morale, inclusion, and employee satisfaction across global teams. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills, along with extensive HR experience in a global environment.
Requirements
- Formal qualification in Human Resources or a related field is mandatory
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within a global or multi-regional environment
- Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives, including employee relations and payroll oversight
- Strong understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices across multiple jurisdictions
- Confident and persuasive with excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with all levels of stakeholders
- Professional English language skills with at least C2 proficiency based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) proficiency required
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to inspire, guide, and develop high-performing global teams
- Outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams
- Exceptional strategic thinking and commercial acumen—you understand the big picture and translate business needs into effective people strategies
- Proven success in performance management design, including clear KPI setting, feedback cycles, and improvement frameworks
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, across diverse audiences and cultures
- High level of emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for building inclusive and engaging work environments
- Deep knowledge of change management, organisational development, and cultural transformation
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills—detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and results-focused
- A confident decision-maker with the ability to exercise sound judgment in sensitive and high-stakes situations

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a People Experience strategy aligned with business objectives
- Create and review policies in consultation with stakeholders to support business and cultural goals
- Lead, inspire and develop a global People Experience team of 10–15 direct reports (30+ indirectly)
- Ensure adherence to international regulations, legislation, and best practice standards
- Use HR analytics and insights to drive strategic recommendations and operational improvements
- Foster a high-performance culture that reflects our values of being Member Focused, Trustworthy, and Pioneering
- Guide complex grievance and disciplinary matters with professionalism and integrity
- Maintain competitive total reward strategies, ensure accurate payroll processing, and promote fairness in pay structures
- Champion transparent KPIs, effective appraisals, and support leadership in managing team performance
- Ensure offices reflect our culture while maintaining cost-effective and compliant facilities
- Drive initiatives that enhance morale, inclusion, and employee satisfaction across global teams
Preferred Qualifications
International HR exposure is highly desirable; additional certifications in Labour Law, Coaching, or D&I are a plus
