Summary
Join Pennylane as the Head of Pricing and Packaging and play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our pricing strategy to enhance market positioning and drive growth. Collaborate closely with the ExCo to implement pricing models and packaging solutions that boost revenue and deliver exceptional value to clients. You will design and optimize product packaging, identify new revenue streams, and create value-based pricing strategies. Data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics and market research is crucial. Lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams. This role requires extensive experience in pricing, product management, or strategy, particularly in SaaS pricing and packaging. Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in pricing, product management or strategy roles (including in specialized consulting firms)
- 3+ years of experience specifically in SaaS pricing and packaging
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proven track record of implementing successful projects in a cross-functional environment
- Speak English
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the company's global pricing and packaging strategy
- Build and maintain pricing governance frameworks and processes
- Design and optimize product packaging across different market segments
- Identify opportunities for new revenue streams and monetization models
- Create value-based pricing strategies for new product features
- Develop pricing tiers that align with customer value perception and usage patterns
- Drive data-driven pricing decisions through advanced analytics and market research
- Conduct regular price sensitivity analyses and elasticity studies
- Monitor and analyze competitive pricing landscape
- Analyze customer behavior and usage patterns to inform pricing decisions
- Measure and optimize pricing effectiveness across different market segments
- Lead cross-functional projects to develop and execute pricing initiatives that align with company strategy and market dynamics
- Work closely with Product teams to incorporate pricing considerations into product roadmap
- Partner with Sales on deal structures, discounting guidelines, and pricing tools
- Collaborate with Marketing on pricing communication and value proposition
Preferred Qualifications
- To be energized by an ever-shifting work environment
- To be highly collaborative (within your team or other stakeholders)
- Sufficiently experienced to prioritize business-led actions on your day to day activity
