Summary

Join Terraformation as the Head of Product Marketing and play a pivotal role in accelerating our mission to restore native forests and address climate change. You will shape how we communicate our impact, engage with key stakeholders, and position Terraformation as a leader in the voluntary carbon market. This role involves designing and implementing go-to-market strategies, creating impactful product materials, and educating the market to advance project funding deals and achieve revenue targets. The position is remote, with a preference for US-based candidates, offering a salary range of $120,000-$150,000 plus equity and a performance-based bonus. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage in thought leadership activities to promote Terraformation's mission and offerings. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of product marketing experience or equivalent
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, able to engage audiences and craft narratives to build a deep connection to a product and its benefits
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively across teams, and engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • A deep passion for nature and a commitment to restoring Earth’s ecosystems to combat climate change

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a go-to-market strategy to attract project funding and carbon buyers for our forest restoration projects, ensuring alignment with our financing structures and carbon sales objectives
  • Collaborate closely with the carbon sales and project finance teams to craft messaging, sales decks, and support materials for customer pitches, RFPs, grant proposals, and other opportunities
  • Develop customer-facing product collateral, such as presentations, case studies, data sheets, and reports, to clearly explain Terraformation’s offerings, benefits, and impact
  • Ensure that Terraformation’s website effectively communicates our product offerings and value propositions by crafting compelling web copy and providing strategic input on site design in collaboration with a web designer
  • Conduct periodic evaluations of market data and trends related to the voluntary carbon market and nature-based climate solutions. Evaluate customer needs and purchase drivers. Share insights with internal teams to inform strategic decision-making
  • Drive cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, marketing writers, graphic designers, and web developers to complete multi-faceted deliverables
  • Write thought-provoking blog posts, articles, and editorial pieces to highlight Terraformation’s mission, projects, and expertise
  • Create resources to help audiences understand the value of Terraformation’s offerings and the potential of native reforestation projects in addressing climate challenges
  • Represent Terraformation at industry events and webinars, delivering compelling presentations and participating in discussions to amplify our voice and educate key stakeholders
  • Build and manage relationships with forestry organizations, carbon marketplaces, and other industry partners to promote collaboration and joint initiatives
  • Actively engage in trade associations, conferences, and industry groups to position Terraformation as a thought leader and trusted partner in the voluntary carbon market

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience marketing climate or sustainability solutions
  • Master’s degree focused on business (MBA), sustainability management, environmental finance, environmental policy, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with carbon markets, voluntary carbon standards, or climate-related regulations
  • Familiarity with communicating complex environmental and financial concepts to corporate sustainability leaders and impact investors
  • Expertise in developing thought-leadership content that positions organizations as industry leaders

Benefits

  • Salary: $120,000 - $150,000, plus equity (depending on location and experience)
