Summary
Join Xero as the Head of Product Marketing, North America, and shape the company's growth trajectory in this key region. You will champion customer needs, inform product priorities, and lead go-to-market strategies. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication, and collaboration across diverse teams. You will lead market analysis, develop GTM strategies, craft compelling messaging, and drive revenue growth. You will also mentor a remote team and represent Xero at various events. This is a unique opportunity to connect customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market trends, working across a diverse portfolio of products.
Requirements
- 9+ years in Product Marketing, ideally within SaaS (B2B and/or B2C)
- Experience leading and coaching remote, cross-functional teams
- Experience managing a product suite, platform, or portfolio of products
- Expertise in market expansion strategies, particularly in competitive markets like North America
- Experience leading complex cross-functional programs and aligning product and go-to-market strategies to achieve measurable business outcomes
- Strategic thinker with expertise in market segmentation, value proposition development, and growth strategies
- Strong communicator with experience presenting to senior executives and large audiences. Able to influence different stakeholders towards desired outcomes
- Customer-obsessed, with a track record of translating insights into actionable strategies and delivering a best-in-class customer experience
- Skilled program manager, excelling in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
- Collaborative leader, adept at aligning cross-functional efforts and building strong relationships
- Commercially savvy, data-driven decision-maker who can develop longer-term growth strategies, while also executing initiatives in the short-term
Responsibilities
- Lead market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and guide regional priorities
- Inform North America GTM and Product planning by proactively identifying opportunities to grow regional acquisition, adoption, and retention using research, analytics, and feedback
- Develop integrated GTM strategies ensuring value propositions, positioning, and messaging are tailored to the market context, supported by compelling evidence, and consistently delivered across touchpoints
- Develop messaging frameworks, playbooks, and collateral to bring customer value propositions and GTM strategies to life for internal audiences, enabling efficient and effective GTM activity and future product development
- Craft messaging that captures the value and differentiation of our solutions and pricing/plans, in collaboration with the competitive intelligence team, for target personas/customer segments
- Drive revenue growth across existing customers and prospects by contributing to external sales and marketing content
- Collaborate with sales enablement to drive sales productivity through market knowledge transfer, collateral, and value based messaging
- Influence and lead complex projects, building rapport with senior stakeholders across functions to gain buy-in and prioritise objectives
- Represent Xero at customer-facing events, key client meetings, and internal forums. Facilitate customer engagement initiatives to surface feedback and insights
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to advocate for the North American marketβs priorities within global initiatives
- Lead, mentor, and coach a remote Product Marketing team, fostering collaboration and high performance across time zones and functions
