Requirements

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field required
  • Experience as a (Junior) HR Business Partner in a digital business setting, including a proven track record of partnering with business functions to drive talent strategies and enable business growth
  • Ability to use data driven analysis and an understanding of economic correlations to identify problems and build viable solutions, especially using e.g. Microsoft Excel
  • Business Acumen: ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, strategies, and initiatives to effect continual improvements in business objectives
  • Solid understanding of German labor law and regulations, ideally experienced in collaboration with Works Council
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and competing demands
  • Flexibility to travel to our subsidiary office in Cologne on a monthly basis
  • Excellent German and business fluent written and spoken English skills mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders especially from our subsidiaries to identify HR priorities and design strategies to meet organizational goals
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to deliver HR programs and services, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement and learning and development
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, performance issues, and conflict resolution
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on HR policies, practices, and programs, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and organizational design together with business leaders to drive efficiencies and enable growth
  • Work closely with the Works Council to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as to foster a positive and productive work relationship
