HR Consultant

Summary

Join Cylinder, a virtual health platform focused on digestive health, as an HR Consultant for a part-time, 1099 contract role. This position will support compliance and HRIS administration, primarily using Rippling. The ideal candidate possesses extensive Rippling experience and a strong understanding of multi-state compliance requirements, including state tax and worker's compensation regulations. The role involves managing employment changes in Rippling, handling state tax and worker's compensation tasks, ensuring HR compliance, assisting in workflow improvements, generating HR reports, and providing HR guidance. Requirements

• Proven expertise and hands-on experience with Rippling
• Extensive knowledge of multi-state employment law and HR compliance requirements (federal, state, and local)
• Demonstrated experience with state tax registration and maintenance for employers across various states
• Strong understanding of worker's compensation processes and regulations
• Proficiency in processing a variety of employment changes accurately and efficiently
• Experience with HR workflow optimization and reporting

Responsibilities

• Completing key employment changes within Rippling, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, and compensation adjustments
• Managing and resolving state tax registration, worker’s compensation, and compliance tasks across multiple jurisdictions
• Ensuring ongoing HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Assisting in the development, documentation, and improvement of HR workflows and processes, especially within Rippling and ClickUp
• Generating and analyzing HR reports from Rippling to support data-driven decision-making
• Providing guidance on HR best practices and compliance matters

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in an HR consulting or contract role in a start-up environment is a plus
