Requirements
- Five (5) years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated strength in employee relations and benefits administration required
- Experience supporting HR functions across multiple areas, such as onboarding, recruiting, or internal process improvement required
- Foundational understanding of key regulations such as ADA, FMLA, Title VII, ADEA, FLSA, and state-specific laws (e.g., California wage and hour laws)
- Solid understanding of employee relations practices, including performance and workplace issue resolution
- Strong interpersonal, communication, consultative, and influencing skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters with utmost discretion
- Proficient in Google Workspace, with strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong documentation and follow-through capabilities
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stepping into varied workflows as needed
- Self-starter who operates independently and thinks critically to contribute proactively to team goals
- Applies innovative and contemporary approaches to solving problems, and adaptable to frequently changing priorities
- Strong business acumen and business partnering skills
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support on employee relations matters, including performance conversations, conflict resolution, and policy guidance to managers and employees
- Maintain thorough, organized documentation of employee relations cases and partner with HR leadership on issue resolution and trend analysis
- Serve as a contact for benefits administration, including open enrollment, employee questions, and vendor coordination
- Support data analysis and reporting related to benefits programs, including audits, reconciliations, and identifying process improvements
- Support core HR operations, including maintaining employee records, managing HR systems, generating reports, and streamlining day-to-day processes
- Provide project support across a wide range of HR initiatives, contributing to efforts spanning multiple functions such as benefits, employee relations, talent acquisition, and people operations
- Participate in the maintenance and updates of employee policies, ensuring clarity and consistency with company culture and evolving workforce needs
- Stay current on employment laws and regulations to support timely policy updates, required employee training, and risk-aware decision-making across the organization
- Proactively identify inefficiencies in HR workflows and contribute to process improvements that enhance accuracy, scalability, and the employee experience
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CBP, etc.) preferred
- Familiarity with California employment practices strongly preferred
- Experience working in a fully remote or technology-driven work environment is a plus
Benefits
$105,000 - $115,000 a year
