Hr Generalist

Summary

Join Zoic Studios, an award-winning visual effects company, as their HR Generalist! This full-time remote position offers a chance to oversee HR needs for U.S. operations. You'll handle payroll, benefits administration, employee onboarding, and relations concerns, ensuring compliance and suggesting policy improvements. Exposure to all management levels is guaranteed. The ideal candidate possesses a BA/BS in HR, 3+ years of experience, and demonstrated knowledge of HR practices and principles. Location preference is Los Angeles, but remote work is available.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in HR or related field and 3 + years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of the practices and principles of human resources including FMLA, ADA, benefit, and employee relations
• Experience processing payroll/generating reports using ADP or other similar payroll systems

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll and resolve employee payroll issues
• Benefits administration and advocacy including coordinating enrollment, anticipating annual renewal and open enrollment, and educating employees about options
• Onboard all new employees, coordinate state required trainings
• Investigate all employee relations concerns
• Stay up to date on compliancy issues affecting the HR department and the company
• Suggest changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs and helping drive positive morale and work environment
• Supervise HR activities, communications, reports, requests, and documents created and received by the team
• Partner with Recruitment Team on: Onboarding
• Partner with Recruitment Team on: Terminations & exit interviews
• Partner with Recruitment Team on: Cultural initiatives and perks
• Partner with Recruitment Team on: Employee Satisfaction/Relations Surveys

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of IRS, Federal, state, and local laws, regulations and requirements governing payroll and employment
• Experience in 401k/5500 audits
• Certifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR)

• Pay Range: 62k – 72k DOE
