Summary

Join Deel as a Payroll Implementation Manager and lead the successful onboarding of clients onto our global payroll system. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • More than 2 years of experience in payroll system implementation and more than 4 years of experience in managing payroll calculations overseas
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and compliance in Japan
  • Project management experience and client management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate smoothly with clients and internally in English
  • Reside in the APAC region

Responsibilities

  • Plan and drive project plans: Collaborate with the onboarding team and clients, conduct kickoff meetings, and plan and manage the rollout of the global payroll system
  • Adjust schedules and scope: Review project progress and manage and adjust if changes are needed
  • Gather requirements and guide: Collect client payroll requirements and clearly explain the technical aspects of payroll onboarding
  • Act as the client's point of contact: Serve as the contact person for all aspects of the payroll project and appropriately resolve issues and risks
  • Set payroll requirements: Define and set the payroll processes and data requirements for each client and manage the payroll calendar
  • System setup and testing: Set up interfaces and reports, and ensure smooth first-month and next-month payroll processing
  • Establish processes compliant with local and international tax and labor laws. Keep up with the latest regulatory changes
  • Supervise the data migration from the legacy system to the new system, ensuring accuracy and security
  • Create and update planning documents, progress reports, and process documents
  • Create reports for analyzing, auditing, and adjusting payroll data
  • Reach an agreement with the client upon project completion and document the process
  • Support employees and HR teams in smoothly transitioning to the new system

Preferred Qualifications

Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
