Infrastructure Support Engineer

Summary

The job involves responding to user requests, problem qualification and resolution, executing operational tasks, collaborating with other teams, and proactively analyzing infrastructure issues for improvement. Requirements include at least 2 years of production experience with Ubuntu or Debian, knowledge of Linux performance monitoring and tuning utilities, shell scripting experience, strong network protocol knowledge, and experience with automated provisioning of Linux infrastructure and services. Preferred requirements are knowledge of NIS, NFS and CIFS, experience working with agile development teams and DevOps, experience with Linux integration with LDAP, and experience with JIRA and Confluence. Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of production experience with Ubuntu or Debian
• Practical knowledge of Linux performance monitoring and tuning utilities and commands
• Shell scripting experience with Bash and Python
• Strong knowledge of network protocols
• Experience working with automated provisioning of Linux infrastructure and services

Responsibilities

• Timely responses to user requests and events from monitoring systems
• Problem qualification and resolution
• Execution of regular operational tasks
• Close collaboration with other units of the infrastructure team and the product team
• Proactive analysis of issues related to infrastructure services and offering suggestions for improvements
