Summary

Join Element Biosciences as an Inside Sales Representative and play a pivotal role in driving sales of Element AVITI instruments and consumables within the APJ territory. This position requires managing the sales process, working with commercial teams to qualify leads, and exceeding sales targets. You will need a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills. The role involves working with distributors, managing the CRM, and presenting to customers. This APJ-based role offers domestic and international travel up to 10%. Base compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, in Biology/Molecular Biology/Genetics or a related field of study
  • Life Sciences industry experience with 3-5 years of cold-calling experience, work in CRMs, or sequencing laboratory experience
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to mentor more junior ISR colleagues
  • Excellent communicator with prior experience working with distributors and effectively engage with customers
  • Experience with strategic selling/Professional Selling Skills (PSS), working with multiple cross functional teams, and value-based selling
  • 3-5 years of experience in prospecting, lead qualification, funnel management, drive to close and ongoing account management
  • Candidate must be comfortable with conducting presentations effectively and professionally to customers/peers/management
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal communication)

Responsibilities

  • Meet and/or surpass sales targets for instrument sales, sequencing consumables, and related services at the time of new capital purchase(s) and through the lifetime of the instrument
  • Manage the customer sales process through phone, e-mail, web/remote conferencing, and limited on-site visits to promote and further develop Element business
  • Work with other commercial teams to prospect and qualify sales leads from a wide variety of sources, to identify the owner of these qualified opportunities, and to route these in Salesforce to the appropriate sales lead
  • Achieve and/or exceed all sales and leads targets assigned by commercial leadership
  • Effectively manage all inbound/outbound communication with customers
  • Establish and maintain a strong, positive, and productive relationship with customers and individuals within the organization
  • Maintain the Salesforce CRM database for accurate lead qualification, funnel management and forecasting in a timely and complete manner, while maximizing productivity during key selling time
  • Achieve daily customer phone contact objectives to deliver sales presentations to address customer’s research needs and increase opportunities and sales
  • Advocate on behalf of the distributor partners and their end users across Element’s organization. Own the resolution of complex problems by connecting the right internal resources with external partners and clients

Advanced Degrees are a plus
