Summary

Join Miaplaza's Curriculum Developer Internship Program for a unique 8-week summer experience (June 9 - August 1, 2025). This program offers both full-time (30-40 hours/week) and part-time (15-20 hours/week) opportunities with flexible scheduling. You'll gain hands-on experience developing K-12 learning materials, including asynchronous activities, assessments, and videos. The program includes professional development and personalized coaching. Requirements include at least two years of K-12 teaching experience, a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, enrollment in an accredited college for an advanced degree, and a 3.0 GPA or higher. Compensation is $26-$28/hour with paid time off.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a related field
  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing an Advanced Degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field
  • Have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Have knowledge of the structure of an effective lesson
  • Have the ability to differentiate instruction to make learning accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially written
  • Have proficiency in using Google Suite
  • Possess excellent attention to detail
  • Have a growth mindset and be motivated by constructive feedback
  • Have a proven ability to work independently, manage schedule, and meet deadlines
  • Maintain high standards of integrity and transparency
  • Have access to a computer/laptop (with camera) and reliable high-speed internet connection

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support the development of a variety of learning materials for a K-12 student audience
  • Develop asynchronous instructional activities
  • Develop multiple-choice assessment items
  • Develop educational video scripts or supplemental help videos
  • Perform quality assurance checks on soon-to-be released curriculum materials
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of customer seminars
  • Assist in the development of a standards-based curriculum organizational system
  • Participate in various synchronous and asynchronous professional development and training activities
