Junior Revenue Accountant

Summary

Join 1Password's Revenue Accounting team as a Revenue Accountant and play a key role in the company's financial success. You will be responsible for crucial revenue accounting tasks, including revenue determination, analysis of financial trends, and assisting FP&A with financial modeling. This remote position, available in Canada and the US, offers a diverse experience blending technical accounting, operational, and systems knowledge. The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in SaaS or public accounting, and strong Excel skills. Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably at a SaaS company or at a public accounting firm
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite) and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal supervision
• Passion for delivery of high quality work within stated deadlines
• Interest in and passion for accounting profession

Responsibilities

• Book journal entries covering revenue and related accounts such as accounts receivable, allowance for doubtful accounts, deferred revenue, cash
• Perform month-end reconciliations for revenue-related balance sheet accounts
• Prepare month-end analysis of P&L and balance sheet account variances
• Produce clear, well-structured documentation and memos
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency in financial operations
• Facilitate internal and external audits
• Execute on key internal controls
• Perform ad hoc projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CA designation, or path towards such designation strongly preferred
• Experience working with Salesforce and/or Stripe is a plus
