Lead - AWS DevOps Engineer

Summary

Join Amber Labs as a Lead AWS DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth software delivery processes. This role offers the opportunity to work with multi-cloud environments, advanced data replication, and observability tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience as a Lead DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS cloud environments
• Strong understanding of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route 53, Lambda and RDS
• Experience with multi-cloud environments and hosting on both public and private clouds
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Amazon ECS
• Experience setting up systems from scratch, emphasizing reliability, availability, and security
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Golang for automation tasks
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana
• Strong experience with data replication and data archival strategies
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment
