Lead Systems Engineer

Summary

Responsibilities include planning and driving systems engineering activities, designing and managing cloud-based infrastructure, building and managing cloud-based applications, and collaborating with security engineering to implement cloud security solutions. You will also build automations, work with the Information Security team, support daily operations, and evaluate and implement emerging technologies. Requirements

• A commitment to add to our culture of DEI
• Expert knowledge of cloud network technology and protocols
• Experience with Amazon Web Service technologies such as AWS Systems Manager, GuardDuty, Workspaces, and AWS networking concepts like VPCs, Security groups, and Transit Gateways
• Experience administration Atlassian such as Jira or Confluence
• Expert in Windows server OS’s, working knowledge of both
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks required
• Familiarity with Active Directory required

Responsibilities

• Plan and drive systems engineering activities on cloud systems that solve complex problems, improve efficiency, or enable the success of Glassdoor’s mission
• Design, manage, and improve cloud-based networks and infrastructure
• Build and manage cloud-based applications and corporate IT service infrastructure
• Lead partnership with Security Engineering to implement cloud security solutions (CASB) and oversee initiatives that improve Glassdoor’s security posture (DLP)
• Build and implement automations to improve efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks
• Work closely with the Information Security team to secure our environment and protect our brand
• Support day-to-day operations for production services and participate in on-call rotations for security incident and outage response
• Act as a point of escalation for our support team and play a role in their technical development
• Evaluate, define, implement, and manage emerging technologies that align to Glassdoor’s technology strategy

Preferred Qualifications

Automation using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell a huge plus

• Base salary range*: $106,000 - $140,800
• Annual bonus target**: 10%
