Requirements
- Proven ability to build and lead a team of 4-5 engineers
- Experience mentoring team members, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a collaborative development environment
- Extensive experience building scalable systems in Unity using C#
- Shipped multiple titles and understand the complexities of optimizing applications
- Proven experience designing and implementing architectural patterns and systems that scale to support a growing player base and evolving game requirements
- Deep knowledge of Unity profiling tools, memory management, rendering pipelines, and performance optimization techniques
- Strong understanding of multiplayer architectures and real-time networking solutions
- Proficiency in data structures and algorithms to optimize code for performance, maintainability, and reliability
- Comfort with learning new tools and technologies to address challenges as they arise
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable, performant, and maintainable systems in Unity
- Establish best practices and coding standards to ensure code quality and maintainability across the engineering team
- Provide technical leadership by conducting code reviews and driving architectural discussions
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance the development pipeline
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and gameplay engineers to develop robust solutions that align with the product vision
- Optimize rendering, physics, and gameplay systems to deliver smooth and immersive VR experiences
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and stability issues across platforms
- Ensure seamless integration between client-side systems and backend services
- Build prototypes to test new concepts and gameplay ideas quickly
- Work closely with QA to establish automated testing workflows and tools to improve reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with VR development tools and techniques. Meta Quest or other platforms
- Familiarity with web technologies, including JavaScript and React, is a plus
