Join StackAdapt, a leading self-serve advertising platform, as our Legal Operations Lead! Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be a critical part of shaping and scaling our legal operations. This remote-first position (Canada or US based) requires 5+ years of legal operations experience in a fast-paced tech environment. You will analyze and improve workflows, manage budgets and vendors, create data reports, and implement legal tech tools. You'll also support compliance and risk management, lead projects, and contribute to the department's strategic goals. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in legal operations within a fast-paced, high-growth adtech or technology environment
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines, using project management tools and techniques to deliver on complex initiatives
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, cost control, and vendor management
- Familiarity with working alongside procurement teams
- Strong understanding of legal tech tools (e.g., CLM, data analysis, workflow automation) with hands-on experience implementing and optimizing these solutions
- Ability to analyze data and create reports that drive actionable insights and decision-making within the Legal team
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, or a related field
- A positive, collaborative spirit, and a learning mindset
- Able to “own” and manage projects from beginning to end, with an internally driven sense of follow through
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity
Responsibilities
- Analyze, refine, and implement workflows across the legal team to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce redundancy
- Training / development for legal team members about new processes and technologies
- Collaborate with the General Counsel to develop and manage the legal department budget
- Evaluate, negotiate, and maintain relationships with external vendors, including outside counsel, legal technology providers, and consulting firms
- Create and maintain legal metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems to measure department performance and communicate insights to leadership
- Establish and manage internal legal knowledge repositories to promote consistency, ensure compliance, and empower the team with accessible resources
- Identify and lead, or collaborate with other team members, concerning the deployment of legal, CLM, compliance, and privacy tech tools, to drive efficiencies across the team
- Work the Compliance Lead and with cross-functional teams to ensure the legal team meets regulatory requirements, privacy standards, and internal policies
- Lead and support strategic projects, including transactional activity, contract standardization, and cross-functional initiatives that enhance the legal team's impact on the business
- Assist the department in setting its annual & long-term goals to enable growth and alignment with the company’s overall strategy
- Champion and recommend process improvements to support in StackAdapt’s growth
Preferred Qualifications
- Legal operations certification (CLOC, ACC, etc.)
- Knowledge of legal operational procedures; knowledge of statutes, and applicable regulations
