Summary
Join Amplitude as a Legal Operations Manager and lead our legal operations function. You will drive operational efficiency by managing processes, systems, and legal software tools. Assess current workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders, facilitate change management, optimize contract management, and track key metrics. This role requires strong project management skills and a proactive approach to scaling legal operations. You will develop and refine processes, optimize workflows, evaluate and implement legal technology, and lead legal operations projects. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience in legal operations or as a paralegal and a strong understanding of legal principles.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in legal operations or as a paralegal
- Strong understanding of legal principles, with a keen eye for process improvement
- B.A. or B.S. degree required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment and flexibility
- Willingness to take on hands-on work and navigate ambiguity while helping to mature the legal operations function
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience collecting and analyzing legal data, creating dashboards, and presenting insights to leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Ironclad, DocuSign, and Slack
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine processes to improve efficiency and scalability across the legal team (including commercial, product, privacy, and corporate functions)
- Optimize contract management workflows and integrate them with company-wide systems
- Evaluate and implement legal technology tools to automate processes, enhance efficiency, and improve data management
- Lead or support legal operations projects, such as centralizing legal knowledge repositories and developing internal legal training programs
- Act as the primary point of contact for legal process inquiries across the organization
- Analyze legal data to identify trends, support decision-making, and measure the impact of legal operations initiatives
- Support strategic and cross-functional projects and provide solutions-oriented recommendations to leadership
