Summary
Join Chainguard's Legal team as a Legal Operations Specialist, reporting to the General Counsel. You will manage and optimize the CLM system, ensuring efficient contract processes. Collaborate with attorneys, business, and finance teams to support deal processes and compliant contract execution. Lead legal operations projects, implement process improvements, and develop systems for tracking legal metrics. Support attorneys with various tasks and projects. This role requires 5+ years of experience in legal operations, preferably in a high-growth tech company or large law firm, along with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of experience working in a legal operations role, preferably at a high-growth technology company or a large law firm
- Experience supporting contract management processes and managing a CLM system
- A good understanding of legal, contract management, and corporate governance policies, roles, and processes
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
- This role requires a self-starter, keen attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- History of building positive relationships with people and teams across a broad, diverse organization
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize our CLM system, ensuring efficient and effective contract processes and workflows
- Be responsible for daily support and administration of our CLM system
- Work closely with Chainguardβs attorneys, business and finance teams to support the deal process, ensuring compliant and efficient contract execution
- Lead and support various legal operations projects, driving them to successful completion by coordinating with legal and business stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality in legal operations, such as automating routine tasks, streamlining workflows, and implementing and documenting best practices
- Develop a system for tracking and reporting legal metrics and then leverage data insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Support the attorneys on the legal team with various tasks and projects as requested
