Summary

Join OpenPhone, a leading VoIP provider, as their first full-time Lifecycle Marketing Manager. You will own the customer lifecycle journey, from pre-trial to retention and referral, working closely with various teams to create personalized messaging strategies and optimize campaign performance. This role requires strong project management skills, experience with email marketing, and a proven track record of building and executing experiments. You will leverage data analysis to inform optimization efforts and ensure alignment with best practices. The ideal candidate is a quick learner comfortable in fast-paced environments and excited to utilize AI tools. Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in lifecycle, including hands-on experience building and optimizing campaigns, ideally with a focus on B2B or SaaS
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution
  • Proven track record of building and executing experiments, including creative testing and personalization
  • Basic HTML/CSS skills
  • Experience working with the templating language Liquid
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, test-and-learn environments
  • Familiar with deliverability best practices
  • Quick learner, excited to explore and incorporate AI tools into your workflow
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Own the entire customer lifecycle journey, from pre-trial through retention and referral
  • Partner closely with the Customer Success team to help drive activation, feature adoption, upsell, expansion and net revenue retention
  • Create personalized messaging strategies based on user segments, behaviors, and attributes
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates) to inform optimization efforts
  • Work with the Product Marketing and Product teams to effectively communicate new features and updates to the right user segments
  • Run A/B tests to optimize conversion rates and campaign performance
  • Assist with maintaining data hygiene and list management best practices
  • Ensure that our lifecycle efforts align with the latest email marketing best practices and deliverability standards
  • Help establish and document lifecycle marketing processes and playbooks

Preferred Qualifications

Deep experience with customer.io preferred; experience with Design Studio (formerly Parcel) and Command AI a plus
