Summary
Join Innovative as their Manager of FP&A, a key role aligning finance and operations in a growing technology services company. You will deliver insightful financial analysis, refine forecasts, monitor KPIs, and support data-driven decision-making. This position requires strong financial acumen and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain financial models, prepare reports, monitor operational performance, interact with stakeholders, and improve systems and processes. Location flexibility is offered, with Rochester, Buffalo, or Syracuse, NY preferred. The salary range is $120,000 - $140,000 annually.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis experience, preferably within a services-based organization
- Strong experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrated understanding of KPIs, financial statements, and cash flow analysis to drive insights and recommendations
- Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to compile and present financial reports
- Demonstrated expertise with accounting software, and data management systems e.g., Sage, Datto/Autotask, Excel, Salesforce, AWS
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (i.e., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, IF statements, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, incorporating income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and investor expectations
- Monitor forecasts to account for changing business dynamics or market conditions
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast)
- Create presentations for stakeholders, highlighting financial performance, trends, and strategic insights
- Provide ad hoc analysis to support business decisions and responding to stakeholder inquiries
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to track financial and operational performance, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Partner with business units to analyze drivers of revenue, cost, and profitability, identifying areas for improvement
- Support cost optimization strategies and initiatives
- Work closely with stakeholders to meet reporting requirements, including detailed financial metrics and value creation updates
- Contribute to quarterly board presentation content
- Enhance financial systems and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
- Implement automation tools to streamline data collection and reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation strategies as needed
- Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics that may impact financial performance
- Support initiatives to improve resilience and adaptability in the business model
