Join Abnormal Security as a Manager, Strategic Events β EMEA and become a critical member of the Global Strategic Events team, owning various customer-facing events. The ideal candidate possesses extensive event marketing experience in the B2B SaaS ecosystem, particularly in cybersecurity. This role involves significant travel.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in event marketing, ideally in the B2B SaaS ecosystem (cyber security experience a plus)
- Proven track record of building or supporting highly regarded, 1000+ person events across multiple global markets
- Knowledge with virtual event platforms and/or event registration systems (3+ years)
- A self-starter who manages their time efficiently across multiple projects in collaboration with globally-distributed teams
- Highly accountable with strong ability to anticipate potential roadblocks and troubleshoot in advance
- Resourceful and a strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize, pivot, and problem solve
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to operate in a highly matrixed environment that builds trust with peers, executives, vendors, and team members of all levels across the organization
- Experience in supporting various marketing and comms deliverables including email marketing, digital, social, and integrated campaigns from brief development to delivery
- Detail-oriented, team-oriented with the ability to think integratively and prioritize ruthlessly
- A strong and effective verbal and written communicator
- Experience managing budgets creatively and frugally, maximizing for greatest impact and ROI
- Good-humored and positive; a can-do attitude and an βownershipβ mentality is required
- Willing to travel ~35% (domestic and global)
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end event coordination and production (including materials creation, event promotion and messaging, signage, giveaways, contract negotiation, vendor relations site selection, accommodations, participant registration, agenda scheduling, staffing, on-site logistics, and post-event reporting and follow up) internationally, with an emphasis on EMEA
- Define and own the goals and objectives of the event programs you support and align deliverables to meet those goals
- Lead cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver high-quality events within budget
- Primary communicator and link between stakeholders and the team, including managing expectations for deliverables
- Effectively communicate status, changes, and dependencies to applicable stakeholders throughout the planning process for multiple programs simultaneously
- Own program reporting, deliver thoughtful wrap-up reports and ROI analysis, distill and communicate learnings for program improvement and optimization YoY
- Work with Field Channel Marketing and other field teams to drive efficient sales enablement around the promotion and follow-up of the programs you own
- Work with the Global Integrated Campaigns team, Brand Creative, Product Marketing, and other cross-functional groups to ensure strategic events are supported and well-rounded, multi-pronged campaigns
- Assist with or oversee lead flow processes alongside MOPS to drive conversions and output down-funnel
- Effectively manage budgets, evaluate ROI, and suggest improvements to efficiencies of all events
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with using tools like Jira, Asana, Salesforce, Marketo, Sigma, Jifflenow
- Experience provisioning events in virtual event platforms like Cvent, HopIn, SwapCard, etc
