Summary

Join Avalere Health as a Market Engagement Manager (MEM) and contribute to a leading healthcare strategic advisory firm. Based in Washington, DC, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, business development, and revenue generation. The MEM will develop and implement sales enablement strategies, create sales tools and content, manage email outreach campaigns, and collaborate with marketing and sales teams. You will analyze sales performance, provide ongoing sales team support, and create training programs. Success will be measured by sales productivity, sales cycle efficiency, content utilization, and team feedback. This role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with several years of experience in sales, enablement, or learning and development within a high-performance organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (and/or equivalent years of experience)
  • Working knowledge of healthcare issues and the life sciences industry
  • 3+ years experience in a high-performance sales organization in sales, enablement, or learning and development
  • Strong understanding of the sales environment, including sales content, tools and training
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms (e.g., Salesforce), content management, and learning management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to build internal relationships with sales and marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in preparing and proofing documents for senior-level audience
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to multi-task and can prioritize work streams effectively under deadline, with timely execution and resolution of action items
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ethical, confident, and creative, with a persistent "can do" attitude
  • Commitment to working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration and maintaining positive relationship with colleagues and clients to achieve solutions-oriented goals

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales enablement strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives
  • Design and maintain sales enablement tools, centralized resources, and content, including playbooks, sales scripts, and presentations
  • Create and administer email outreach campaigns through sales automation tools like, Outreach.io to generate new pipeline
  • Create target lists of new prospects through contact databases like LinkedIn and Zoominfo.com to use in outreach campaigns
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment of sales and marketing strategies, and to create compelling sales collateral
  • Analyze sales processes and performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
  • Provide ongoing support to the sales team, including new hire onboarding and continuous education
  • Create, manage, and deliver training programs and materials to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales team
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of sales enablement initiatives, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Stay current with industry trends, sales techniques, and competitive landscape to ensure the sales team has a competitive edge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with developing and maintaining sales plans, managing multiple initiatives/work streams simultaneously preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
