Summary
Join Tidal Basin as a Market Lead and oversee the sales lifecycle for a specific service line, including Emergency Management, Federal services, Grants and Program Management, GovTech, and Finance and Compliance. Develop and execute strategic sales plans, collaborating with colleagues and external consultants. Build and maintain client relationships, expand services, and contribute to national strategy development. Actively participate in business development, capture processes, and RFX decision-making. Collaborate with various teams, including Marketing, Operations, and HR, and travel extensively to meet client needs and represent the company.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Emergency Management, Political Science, Public Administration, or Business Management preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Five plus years of sales or operational experience in the disaster recovery/emergency management, technology, financial compliance, infrastructure or federal field, or equivalent management experience in a related field or demonstrated management/leadership experience
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute a strategic plan for the assigned service line/market
- Create, update and/or maintain leads, pipeline data, etc. in the TB Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system of record
- Take active involvement in Go/No Go processes for Capture, RFX decision making, and RFX delivery
- Conduct business development within identified service line, in coordination with other service lines and operations to ensure the best client/prospective client experience
- Client relationship development: ensuring client satisfaction with products and services once a sale has been completed
- Expand services with current client base
- Work collaboratively with the business unit/service line in developing overall national strategy and oversee ongoing adjustments as necessary
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Communication team on regional marketing and conferences
- Work with Operations, Resource Management, and the Human Resources team on recruitment planning as needed for new opportunities within the pipeline that have a high win probability
- Work with State Business Development Consultants and Lobbyists
- Coordinate with Capture teams related to new or existing opportunities
- Develop relationships with partner firms and subcontractors, including MBE, DBE, SDVOB, etc
- Propose government affairs and political strategies
- Propose charitable giving strategies
- Travel as required, up to 75% of the time as required, with sometimes little to no advance notice based on client needs
- Travel as directed to client sites for key contract or project startups, as needed operationally by TB. Project related travel may require extended stays
- Complete all required compliance training on an annual basis
- Perform other duties as assigned
