Summary

Join Deep Sky, a Canadian company building gigaton-scale carbon removal infrastructure, as their first Head of Marketing. You will be responsible for building and scaling their top-of-funnel, generating high-quality inbound leads, and establishing Deep Sky as a category-defining brand in carbon removal. This is a hands-on role where you will design and execute campaigns, develop high-converting content, launch and optimize marketing channels, own the marketing funnel, position Deep Sky as a leader, collaborate with engineering teams, partner with the sales team, understand and support a long sales cycle, iterate based on insights, build marketing systems from scratch, own performance metrics, set strategy while executing tactically, and more.

Requirements

  • Have 5–10+ years of B2B marketing experience with enterprise sales cycles
  • Have a track record of generating qualified leads in early markets
  • Are equally comfortable writing a landing page and designing a GTM strategy
  • Have high creative range: you can write a clever ad, optimize a funnel, and run a webinar. How will you get us on the front page of Time?

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute campaigns to attract enterprise buyers of carbon removal credits
  • Develop high-converting content, events, media campaigns, and email marketing strategies
  • Launch and optimize SEO, SEM, and paid media channels
  • Own the marketing funnel from awareness through qualified lead handoff to sales
  • Position Deep Sky as a leader in high-durability carbon removal
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to translate complex scientific ideas into accessible stories
  • Partner with the sales team to create collateral, case studies, one-pagers, and pitch decks
  • Understand and support a long, relationship-driven enterprise sales cycle
  • Iterate based on insights from champions inside enterprise buyers
  • Build marketing systems from scratch—analytics, automation, CRM integration
  • Own performance metrics, pipeline attribution, and marketing ROI
  • Set strategy while executing tactically—you’ll write the copy, run the ads, ship the emails

Preferred Qualifications

  • Love climate tech or emerging tech (experience in climate is a plus, but not required)
  • Think from first principles—you experiment, test, learn, and adapt
  • Thrive in ambiguity and have zero ego when it comes to execution
