Summary

Join ARETUM, a leading technology-driven government contracting firm, as a Marketing & Design Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and design initiatives to promote ARETUM's services and solutions to federal clients. You will oversee a wide range of design tasks, including creating visual assets, supporting proposal development, and maintaining the company's website. You will also be involved in marketing support activities, such as managing LinkedIn content, drafting internal communications, and contributing to the creation of press releases. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in graphic design, visual communications, or marketing roles, a strong portfolio showcasing their design skills, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Additional preferred qualifications include experience supporting proposal design in a govcon environment, light video editing or motion graphics skills, and knowledge of SEO, UX, or accessibility design standards.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in graphic design, visual communications, or marketing roles
  • Portfolio that shows strong design across digital and print—especially clean, branded layouts
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and/or Canva
  • Familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS tools, and basic web best practices
  • Strong writing/editing skills with attention to formatting, tone, and clarity
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable collaborating with multiple departments and senior leaders

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce a wide range of branded visual assets (presentations, one-pagers, infographics, templates, social posts)
  • Support proposal and business development efforts with custom graphics and visual storytelling
  • Ensure all designs follow ARETUM’s brand guidelines and are optimized for clarity, consistency, and accessibility
  • Create marketing visuals for digital use, internal communications, and occasional print projects
  • Build and maintain a library of design assets, templates, and graphics for cross-functional use
  • Maintain and update ARETUM’s website content and visuals monthly
  • Manage LinkedIn content, working with teams to promote milestones, events, and updates
  • Draft and format internal communications and leadership announcements
  • Support the development and formatting of newsletters, memos, and basic marketing copy
  • Contribute to the creation and formatting of press releases, then route for executive review
  • Provide basic monthly reports on web and social engagement metrics
  • Flag and support light SEO and UX improvements based on performance data
  • Coordinate with IT or vendors to resolve website issues or technical needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting proposal design in a govcon
  • Light video editing or motion graphics
  • Working knowledge of SEO, UX, or accessibility design standards
  • Experience working in a high-growth or mid-sized company
