Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Customer Engineer at a SaaS, open-source, or enterprise software company
  • Strong hands-on experience configuring/debugging Linux systems and troubleshooting network issues
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes and containerization
  • Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Familiarity with traditional infrastructure networking/security and modern cloud-native architectures
  • Passion for open source technologies and eagerness to stay current with industry trends
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to translate complex technical topics into business value
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a globally distributed, remote-first team

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales reps and leadership to understand customer needs and align technical value with customer outcomes
  • Work with mid-market clients across EMEA to understand their technical goals, understand pain points, and demonstrate and proof-of-concept how Teleport fits into their infrastructure and security landscape
  • Partner with Senior Solutions Engineers on complex accounts and implementations
  • Support various go-to-market initiatives, including creating marketing collateral, contributing to product positioning, participating in customer interviews, and attending industry events
  • Act as a brand ambassador—traveling to conferences, engaging at meetups, and helping drive product awareness in the community
  • Maintain a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality and actively contribute to a startup-style, high-energy team culture
  • Continuously develop technical expertise in Linux, networking, Kubernetes, and modern cloud-native stacks
