Onboarding Accountant

Summary

Join Collective, a company redefining how solo businesses operate, as an Onboarding Accountant. You'll onboard members onto our all-in-one accounting platform, providing bookkeeping, payroll access, and more. This role involves daily video calls with members, creating financial reports, explaining complex topics simply, and assisting with payroll. We seek passionate individuals with 3+ years of accounting experience in creating P&L statements for US small businesses. Requirements

• Your passion for helping our members and your ability to thrive in a customer centric role
• Minimum 3+ years experience in accounting, creating profit and loss statements for small businesses in the United States
• Customer service oriented, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks
• Write and talk like a seasoned professional
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Conduct video Zoom calls with members everyday (~4-5 hours per day)
• Use your 5+ years of accounting expertise to create P&L reports and Balance Sheet Statements for members who come to you with mixed business and personal accounts
• Breakdown complex technical topics in layman terms for our members
• Help members run first payroll and understand payroll taxes
• Passion for supporting entrepreneurs and the self-employed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bonus points for CPAs
• Xero, QuickBooks Online, Gusto, ADP, or equivalent accounting and payroll software
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes and experience with payroll migrations
