Operations Coordinator

Summary

Second Harvest is seeking an adaptive, strategic, partnership-minded individual to join their team as the Operations Coordinator (Québec). The role involves implementing regional expansion strategy in Québec, managing relationships with non-profit organizations and food donors, conducting on-site demonstrations, evaluating gaps and opportunities for improving food recovery operations, and supporting the Marketing and Communications department and Development department. The position is full-time, based in Montreal, QC, and requires bilingualism (French).

• Must be based in Québec; Able to travel across Québec and have a Valid Class 5 driver’s license. Travel-related expenses will be compensated

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of Second Harvest regional expansion strategy in Québec
• Act as the main point of contact for non-profit organizations, providing excellent customer service to food donors and all partners
• Ensure rigorous tracking of donations made on the platform, facilitating communication between donors and beneficiary organizations
• Attend relevant conferences and trade shows in Québec, assisting in organizing and leading food collections
• Conduct on-site demonstrations of the Second Harvest Food Rescue application by Second harvest to increase platform registrations and usage
• Evaluate gaps and opportunities for improving our food recovery operations, working closely with the Second Harvest team
• Support the Marketing and Communications department and the Development department to generate media interest and engagement for increased awareness
• Update partner accounts in our CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and perform necessary follow-ups and updates with our partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a client/customer-facing role within the food industry is an asset
• Experience working in the non-profit sector is an asset
