Order Operations Data Analyst

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in order operations, business analysis, or a similar role
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and/or other reporting and data analysis tools
• Experience with order management systems (OMS) and workflow automation tools
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and identify opportunities for improvement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Intellectual curiosity and research abilities

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update reporting tools to track and analyze the efficiency of the order processing system
• Provide insights on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as non-linear order rates, aging order rate, time-to-resolution of aging orders
• Regularly review reports and data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
• Utilize reporting and analysis to drive strategic decision making
• Proactively identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks and operational gaps and weaknesses within the order management process
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, ensuring minimal disruption to order processing
• Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize order flow and minimize delays
• Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions to streamline order processing workflows
• Focus on minimizing manual intervention by automating routine tasks and handling orders that get "stuck" in the system
• Ensure that automated workflows align with the business needs and improve operational efficiency
• Work closely with customer experience, engineering, operations, and logistics teams to ensure smooth communication and timely resolution of operational issues
• Own day-to-day performance management, including escalations, process clarifications, and alignment on SLAs to ensure timely and accurate order processing
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying workflow gaps and providing enablement resources
• Regularly review and enhance existing reporting and automation systems to align with evolving business goals
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging tools/technologies that can improve order management efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of data visualization tools like Looker, Power BI or Tableau is a plus
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or supply chain management software
• Experience with process mapping and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus
• Track record of success in building new operational processes and an ability to work through ambiguity
