Summary

Join a successful law firm as a confident cannabis attorney and manage deals and client relationships. The ideal candidate will be an optimistic self-starter with experience representing cannabis industry operators (cultivators, processors, dispensaries, etc.). This principal attorney position offers the opportunity to learn how to run and grow with a successful firm. The firm has a well-established record of successfully representing businesses and entrepreneurs in various areas of law, bringing decades of experience and business acumen to the cannabis industry. A competitive salary and bonus structure are offered. The position requires a J.D. from an accredited law school and a minimum of 6 years of law firm experience.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Min. 6 years of law firm experience
  • Great client relationship skills
  • Experience managing other attorneys and staff
  • Experience with cannabis industry regulation with a focus on representation of industry operators
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in establishing and operating a cannabis business, whether plant-touching or ancillary, necessitates strategic planning and design

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee deals and important client relationships
  • Represent businesses and entrepreneurs in regulatory compliance, health care, tax, intellectual property, litigation, employment, real estate/zoning, and many other areas of law
  • Provide world-class advice, counsel, and legal services on the many legal and other obstacles facing cannabusinesses
