Requirements
- Minimum of 3-4 years of multi-state payroll experience, preferably in a similar role
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom), Excel, Google products, and HRIS systems
- Understanding of US federal and state payroll regulations, including FLSA, tax laws, and wage and hour laws
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll policies and resolve employee issues
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding payroll and employee data
Responsibilities
- Utilize ADP and Trinet to process multiple payrolls for exempt & non-exempt employees accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain payroll records and ensure the accuracy of data, including employee status, hours worked, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports, conduct audits to identify discrepancies or issues, and reconcile payroll accounts
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, working closely with employees and management to address payroll-related questions or concerns
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing payroll processes to recommend and implement improvements for efficiency and accuracy
