Summary
Join AMP as a part-time, remote Payroll Coordinator and revolutionize our financial management approach. You will manage company tax setups, ensure compliance, collect and verify employee data, review pay runs, answer payroll questions, handle 401(k) processes, coordinate audits, update payroll information, prepare statements and filings, create reports, and assist with researching new payroll systems. This role requires a degree in accounting or finance, 3-5 years of payroll administration experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, payroll systems, and ERP software. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential. The position offers flexible hours (up to 20 hours per week, preferably mornings) and a competitive hourly rate of $25-$30. The role is remote, based in the United States, with the option to work from the Louisville, CO headquarters if desired.
Requirements
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3-5 yearsβ experience in payroll administration
- Good working knowledge of accounting practices and tax laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, payroll systems (Trinet/Zenefits a plus) and ERP Software (NetSuite a plus)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Manage the company setup for city, state, and department of revenue for payroll related taxes
- Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws
- Collect and verifying employee and timekeeping data
- Review bi-monthly pay runs for accuracy and completeness
- Answer questions and resolving issues regarding payroll
- Perform the 401(k) process
- Coordinate payroll related audits (e.g. 401(k), workerβs compensation, etc.)
- Update payroll information for promotions, transfers, terminations, and new hires
- Prepare statements and tax filings reflecting earnings, taxes, deductions, and option exercises
- Prepare payroll reports for management and auditing purposes
- Assist with researching a different payroll system
