Summary

Join GOAT Group as a Payroll Specialist and assist in full-cycle multi-state payroll processing for 1,100+ US employees. You will ensure accurate and timely payroll, adhering to federal and state regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing timesheets, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining payroll data in ADP Lyric and UKG WFM. You will also respond to employee inquiries and collaborate with other teams to improve processes. The ideal candidate possesses 4+ years of multi-state payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with large-scale payroll systems. Exceptional organizational skills and a customer-oriented approach are essential. This role reports to the US Payroll Manager.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of multi-state payroll experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Self-motivated and able to stay on task as interruptions occur throughout the day
  • Experience working with a payroll size of 1000+ employees with a large hourly workforce
  • Knowledge of payroll, time and attendance, HRIS and self-service systems for a large-scale service provider (ex. ADP, Workday, Ceridian,UKG)
  • Strong customer orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills to partner and build collaborative working relationships with employees and time approving managers
  • Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented mindset, and a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures to assist in processing biweekly payroll for 1,100+ US multi-state employees
  • Assist in the maintenance of time and pay data necessary to process paychecks, tax changes, retroactive adjustments, garnishments, special pays, and paid time off adjustments in cloud-based payroll system (ADP Lyric)
  • Assist with resolving timecard errors as needed and ensure timecards are completed and approved prior to payroll processing
  • Assist with the accumulation, review and balancing of hours in the time and attendance module (UKG WFM)
  • Respond to questions from employees regarding paychecks, direct deposit, and/or general payroll questions. Escalate payroll matters to the Payroll Manager as needed
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and provide high-quality customer service
  • Support payroll related administrative duties and tasks as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • UKG WFM, formerly Dimensions, experience is a plus
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus
