Requirements
- 7+ years of payroll experience
- Experience processing multi-state payroll tax in Workday
- Proficiency with Workday and ADP Smart Connect
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient with Workday payroll software
Responsibilities
- Handle all payroll tax related functions
- Process biweekly and off cycle payrolls in a multi-state environment
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
- Utilize a 3rd party vendor for payroll processing
- Assist with processing international and US payrolls for exempt and non-exempt employees
- Review and resolve payroll tickets in Jira
- Research payroll issues
- Administer payroll tax compliance requirements across all companies
- Work directly with tax agencies to open or close tax accounts as needed
- Make corrections to Business Wire state/federal tax profile setups with tax service
- Maintain tax service dashboard and resolve tax or garnishment discrepancies
- Review and submit tax notices to tax service
- Process quarterly tax returns or late originals as needed
- Balance and remit payroll taxes for bi-weekly payroll runs
- Process βlock-inβ letters received from IRS
- Collect, verify, and record employee attendance, including hours worked
- Execute year-end processing including reconciling and verifying all box totals, earnings, and deductions
- Answer tax calls from Employees and tax agencies
Preferred Qualifications
- US and International payroll experience
- Jira Ticketing system is a plus
