Summary
Join Degreed as a People Experience Generalist and help lead operational and employee experience processes for our international workforce in APAC & EMEA. You will ensure seamless people processes across the employee lifecycle, support compliance, and enhance employee engagement. This role initially focuses on India but will expand to include EMEA within six months. Responsibilities include streamlining people operations, managing the employee lifecycle, benefits management, compliance, employee support, and office/culture initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in People Operations with international experience in APAC, strong HR systems proficiency, and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Generalist, or similar roles, with international experience and a strong focus on the APAC Region
- Experience managing HR initiatives in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with a strong ability to deal with ambiguity and change
- A proactive problem solver with attention to detail, resourceful, and a self-starter
- A willingness to learn international compliance and HR best practices
- Adaptable and thrive in dynamic, ever-changing environments
- Strong understanding of HR operations, policies, and compliance frameworks across APAC and EMEA
- Experience with HRIS platforms and tools to streamline global HR processes
- Exceptional ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to support and enhance employee experience and engagement
- Advanced written and verbal English language skills for effective global collaboration
- Thrive in environments requiring quick pivots and solutions
- Proactive and resourceful approach to addressing challenges
Responsibilities
- Support the design and lead improvements in global HR processes ensuring smooth employee experiences
- Oversee HR administration and compliance for APAC and EMEA regions
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, and leave administration for APAC and EMEA employees
- Take ownership of the administration of benefits globally, ensuring a seamless process for employees
- Ensure HR policies meet local legal requirements in APAC and adapt global policies for regional needs
- Provide high-quality responses to employee inquiries and manage sensitive data with confidentiality
- Lead workspace management and culture-building initiatives for Bangalore-based employees
Preferred Qualifications
- EMEA region experience is desirable, however training will be provided
- Experience working in an entrepreneurial or start-up environment, particularly in managing global people operations
- A strong desire to grow into a true global expert covering all aspects of People Operations
