Summary
Join Pair Team as a People Operations Generalist and play a vital role in supporting our growing organization. You will manage key touchpoints across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, while driving operational excellence, strengthening team connectivity, and fostering a values-aligned culture. This fully remote position reports to the People Ops Manager and offers the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven company focused on expanding healthcare access and improving outcomes for underserved communities. You will facilitate onboarding, manage offboarding processes, maintain employee records, generate HR reports, project manage performance reviews, manage employee surveys, respond to HR inquiries, support timecard and time-off administration, handle employment verification requests, provide support with tax filings and compliance, coordinate leave of absence requests, process employee leaves, support compliance initiatives, and assist with employee relations matters. Pair Team is committed to building a more equitable and community-rooted Medicaid system.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in People/Human Resources, with a strong generalist background
- Excel/Google Sheets proficiency and comfort with reporting and data analysis
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms, including making configuration changes
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams
- Proven ability to assess, streamline, and improve people processes
- Understanding of leave of absence (LOA) types and administration
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities

- Collaborative spirit and ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels of the organization
- Passion for helping individuals experiencing complex chronic needs such as homelessness, severe mental illness, and substance use disorder
Responsibilities
- Facilitate onboarding for new employees, including pre-start communication and documentation
- Manage voluntary offboarding processes, including coordinating and conducting exit interviews
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records in the HRIS (Rippling)
- Build and generate HR reports for stakeholders and regularly refresh data in Excel-driven dashboards
- Project manage and execute the operational side of performance review cycles
- Design, distribute, and manage employee surveys via Culture Amp
- Triage and respond to daily HR inquiries through the internal ticketing system
- Support employees and managers with timecard and time-off administration in accordance with company policies
- Respond to employment verification requests in a timely and professional manner
- Provide support with tax filings, state registrations, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate all aspects of routine leave of absence and accommodation requests
- Process and track employee leaves and accommodations using internal systems
- Support compliance initiatives such as EEO-1 reporting, benefits audits, and workersβ compensation claims
- Assist People Business Partners with low-risk employee relations matters
